PROCESS PIPING DESIGN & PIPE STRESS ANALYSIS AS PER ASME B 31.3

Programme Highlights:


An Inpace program designed to present all major topics relative to the Detailed Engineering / Layout Engineering of Piping Systems, Mechanical design, Hydraulic design and Stress Analysis of Process Piping Systems.

The program covers Process Equipment’s, Plant Layout, and Mechanical & Hydraulic Design of Pipelines. It is one of the Unique Training Program which covers comprehensive Stress Analysis of Piping.

The program duration is 160 hours - 8 weeks time. Full time Instruction including concept theory, problem solving, system design, drafting and exposure to Industry Leading 3D Modelling & Pipe Stress Analysis Software.

  • Pipe Design & Modeling – CATIA

Module: 2- Pipe Stress Analysis

  • Introduction to Pipe Stress Analysis, Design of Pressure Components.
  • Pipe Span Calculations, ANSI & ASME codes.
  • Expansion loop joints, Flanged joints, Pipe Connection to equipments.
  • Tool Familiarization
  • ANSYS for Pipe Stress Analysis
  • CAESAR -5. 10 – Bonds, Restraints, Hangers, Expansion joints, miscellaneous models

Module: 3 - Process Design & Management System (PDMS)

  • Plant Layout Design & Plot plants.
  • Equipment creations, Equipment modifications,Using coordinates, Standard equipments.
  • Pipe placements, Drawing  manager
    • Process Flow Diagram – PFD
    • Piping & Instrumentation Diagram – P & ID.
    • Line Numbering, P& ID Requirements
    • Print Reading Exercise, Plot Plan, Equipment Layout, & Piping GA Drawings.
    • Case studies  / Project Work

Module : 4 – Soft Skill Development
